Getting into details

The typical wingfoil day

Here is the course of a typical day. We adapt to your desires and weather conditions.

9am | Leaving the riad

After your breakfast at the riad, we pick you up at your place of accommodation, and we take you by 4x4 to the spot. Every day is the opportunity to take a mini trip before sailing, passing in front of the ruins of the Sultan's house!

We will equip you with equipment adapted to your person and the wind conditions.

10am-12pm | Kitesurf lesson

Wingfoil lesson

12pm | Lunch break

Choose from having lunch with us in our local canteen to taste a typical dish, sandwich on the beach or drop off in a nearby restaurant.

Afternoon

If you are motivated and the conditions allow it, we can organize a second ride session.

Essaouira is full of additional activities, enjoy a camel ride, visit the medina, treat yourself to a relaxing massage...

Did you know ?

Essaouira means "the city of the wind". It is the ideal destination for kitesurfing!

Wind conditions

Essaouira wind and wave conditions

In Essaouira, there is a 3km bay of sand. On one side of the bay, we meet horses, camels and quads for walks in the sand. On the other side is the Medina and its charming fishing port.

Off the bay is the island of Mogador. This island protects the bay from the swell. Navigation in the bay is thus secure.

The Essaouira kitesurfing spot is located south of this large sandy beach. The wind is steady. This spot has no obstacles, no rocks, you are safe with your qualified instructor.

The wind is present all year round, with the best period between March and October. In case of strong swell, the bay is ideal for surfing.

In winter, you will enjoy riding waves.

Essaouira experiences a Mediterranean climate. Average temperatures fluctuate from 18° in January to 30° in July. The ocean temperature varies from 17° to 23°. (we recommend a wetsuit for the practice !)

The rainiest months are january, november and december.

Which equipment do I need

swimming suit - cap - sunscreen

Should I know how to swim ?

You have to be able to swim 50m and immerse yourself in water. You will have a life jacket. Practicing kitesurfing does not require an important physical condition.

Which payment do you accept ?

we accept payment in cash, euros and dirham, credit card

I have no vehicle, how to reach the spot ?

We pick you up at your accommodation and take you to the kite spot.

However, if you choose more remote accommodation or wish to explore the surroundings, we advise you to rent a car for your stay.

How many hours do I need to be autonomous ?

It is possible to be autonomous in 5 sessions of two hours to be able to go upwind on the water. Each person is different, we support you individually in your progress.
